Every Kid Healthy Week: Did you know? The week of April 22 is Every Kid Healthy Week, a national observance that shines a spotlight on the great efforts schools are making to improve the health and wellness of their students, as well as the link between nutrition, physical activity, and learning - because healthy kids are better prepared to learn! In honor of this year's observance, the EG Public Schools and Aramark will be holding taste testings of fresh, local produce at Meadowbrook and Frenchtown (taste testings were held at Eldredge and Hanaford in January), and new smoothie recipes are being unveiled on the Grab 'n Go Breakfast Carts at Cole and EGHS. Didn't know that Cole and EGHS had Grab 'n Go Breakfast Carts? Breakfast is available every week day starting at 7:30am, and all kids are welcome and encouraged to take advantage of this healthy start to their day. (Breakfast is available at the elementary schools as well.) Interested in learning more about the district's Health and Wellness initiatives?
