East Greenwich At a Glance

The Town of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, is a coastal town on the western side of Narragansett Bay. It is 16.71 square miles. East Greenwich is bordered by the City of Warwick to the north and the Town of North Kingstown to the south and east. The population of East Greenwich was 14,312 at the 2020 census and is part of the Providence metropolitan statistical area and the Greater Boston combined statistical area.

The East Greenwich School District consists of six schools.

  • One lower elementary school serves grades K-2.

  • One lower elementary school serves grades PK-2.

  • Two upper elementary schools serve grades 3-5.

  • One middle school serves grades 6-8. 

  • One high school serves grades 9-12.

The district has approximately 2,550 students in grades PK-12.
