If you are moving within East Greenwich borders, you can submit an address change by completing a Returning Student Registration with a proof of residency document uploaded. Valid proof of residency documents depend on your situation:
- Families who are renting provide a current lease or rental agreement (must be signed by all parties and list landlord's name and contact information). Families must keep a current lease on file to prove residency.
- Homeowners (must live in the home) can submit TWO of the following: a current property tax bill, water or sewer bill, or a utility (electric, water, gas, or oil) bill.
- If in the process of purchasing a new home - a copy of a signed Purchase and Sales Agreement will be accepted as long as it is within 30 days of closing. *Once closing has occurred, a copy of the closing disclosure will need to be submitted to Student Enrollment within 5-7 business days.
- If a student is living with a relative or another person, the homeowner needs to complete the Landlord/Shared Tenancies Affidavit Form (must be notarized) and also must provide their own proof of residency. Affidavit form can be found under Important Forms.
- Displaced families who are living in East Greenwich due to loss of stable housing may qualify for McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act benefits. Contact the EG Homeless Liaison, Mr. Neil Marcaccio (nmarcaccio@egsd.net).
Please note that your student's address, school, or bus transportation cannot be changed until this documentation is provided.
If you are moving OUT of the East Greenwich School District, please contact your child’s school building(s) directly for withdrawal information.
