Hazel Health

We are pleased to announce an important new layer of mental health support for East Greenwich students. Thanks to the support of the Rhode Island Department of Education, East Greenwich Public Schools is proud to introduce this initiative as part of a statewide effort led by Governor McKee and Commissioner Infante-Green. The goal is to address the growing mental health needs of our students and ensure that every child is ready to learn and thrive.

In partnership with Hazel Health, students can now access confidential, virtual therapy sessions with licensed therapists at no cost to families. These services are entirely HIPAA and FERPA compliant, ensuring student privacy and confidentiality are protected at every step.

Students can connect from the comfort of their homes to talk through life’s challenges—whether they're experiencing stress, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, or simply need someone to talk to. Hazel’s services are designed to complement the outstanding mental health supports already in place within our district.

We are excited to offer this additional resource and remain committed to supporting the well-being of every student in our care.

What Makes Hazel Health Special? No insurance or payment is needed, support is available in multiple languages, and appointments are available within 48 hours on average.

We remain committed to supporting the diverse needs of all our students, including expanded access to mental health care and emotional well-being. We hope this new service provides additional support for your student and family, should the need arise.
