School Meals Program
The East Greenwich Public Schools, in partnership with our food service provider Aramark, is committed to providing healthy, affordable, and appealing breakfast, lunch, snack and beverage options that support student well-being and academic success. In addition, we are committed to accommodating the dietary needs of every child, and to locally sourcing fresh and seasonal produce. For the 2020-2021 school year:
The U.S.D.A. is allowing all students (regardless of income eligibility) to receive free breakfast and free lunch until the close of the 2020-2021 school year (this was updated from December 31, 2020). This guideline applies to students who are in school and students who are distance learning.
Distance learners are eligible to pickup breakfast and lunches at Frenchtown and Eldredge Schools. Weekend meals (at no cost) are also available for all students with pickup on Friday at Frenchtown and Eldredge Schools.
Have a question regarding the school meals program? Would you like to add a pop-up note to your child's meal account to alert our cashiers of any special restrictions/allergies? Please consider utilizing the Food Service Request/Feedback Form. This form is sent to Michelle Edwards, Aramark (stationed at Cole). Our school meals program is governed by the EGPS Health and Wellness Policy (Number 4215). For more information, view our Health and Wellness Policy.
